Was at a friend's house for another friend's birthday party when she played Defying Gravity. I was instantly hooked and couldn't get the song out of my mind. On my next day off from work I went and bought this CD. But I wanted to listen when out and about. So recently I bought the mp3 album from here and have barely stopped listening since. And when not listening to it I'm awfully singing and humming the songs.

I was never before really bothered about going to see this show. But between the friend's recommendation (she loves the show) and listening to this album a lot I would love nothing more than to see Wicked. I will definitely go at some point.

I thnk my favourites are Defying Gravity, Popular and One Short Day.

I have now seen Wicked twice in London's west End with Louise Dearman and Rachel Tucker in the lead roles and what a fantastic show it is!

Stephen Schwartz is a very talented man who also wrote Godspell and wrote the lyrics for Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame as well as Hercules) and should be aplauded. I just wsih they would record a London Cast Recording as they did with Beauty and the Beast and many others as it would sell! The music and the cast on the CD though are, more or less, just as good as the current London cast (OK I am biased London is better as the vocals seem to be stronger) - that said the magic of Wicked has been captured here!

I bought a download for myself, bought a copy for my Mother, bought a copy for my sister who recently saw it for Christmas and I've treated myself to the Anniversary edition.

If you haven't seen the musical then do and then buy this CD to help you remember the moment, You won't regret it!

Went to see this musical for the first time in October, and I have fallen in love with it! From the story line to the music, to the costumes. I simply had to buy the CD so that I could listen to my favourite songs “popular & defining gravity”. As soon as the CD arrived I unwrapped it and put it on, it has been in my car ever since and I keep listening to this over and over, even singing along (I must look like a mad women to other drives!) I cannot wait to see this amazing musical again.

Absolutely excellent! I play it in my car whilst driving (about the only place I have time to listen to c.ds nowadays) and it has been on non-stop. Originally bought in preparation for when I take my Grandchildren to see the show in London and they also love it, requesting favourite numbers every time they get in the car. One drawback has been they have all changed their opinion of the Wicked Witch of the West (Wizard of Oz), as have I. Which only goes to prove how much we've all listened to the words!

Yes, I said it, the title of a thousand reviews - "Wicked" is wicked!

But, in all seriousness, it is. I've seen reviews which have labelled some of the songs here as not up to par others from the musical, and from other works of Stephen Schwartz. I can now denounce those rumours with the cheery air that comes from listening to "Wicked" for the forty-seventh time. Every song on this album, except, perhaps, the lacklustre 'Wonderful' (although even that is good to sing along to when you're in a sing-along situation), is wonderfully addictive, from the cheerfully sinister 'No One Mourns the Wicked' to the insanely catchy 'What is this Feeling?' to the mind-blowingly powerful 'Defying Gravity' to the tender, heart-wrenching 'For Good' - I could go one with irritating comparisons and over-used adjectives for the whole review. Fortunately, however, I'm just going to leave you with this - buy this CD. Whether you've seen the show or not (and believe me, after this you'll want to) this is a great CD for all music/al lovers to have in their collection.

If you're into Musicals then this is right up your street! The show tells of the pre-Dorothy Oz and explores how those events came to pass and how the Wicked Witch of the West turned out the way she did! The CD has the majority of the songs from the show and begins with the death of the Witch - Noone Mourns the Wicked. From there we are taken back on time! What can I say, a truly wonderful musical. If you are buying this CD I would recommend you hunt the internet for the synposis of the show and make sure you go for the unofficial one which tells all the secrets of the show! With this in your head your enjoyment of the CD will be total!! I thoroughly recommend this CD.

This is my favorite musical of all time bar none. I listen to this full soundtrack so much its scary.! Ive got a copy for the house and one for the car. Is that obsessed? maybe. But this is the best musical you will ever ever see. Ive now seen this in London, New York and Edinburgh and every time is just as good as the next. Simply stunning.

I bought this after seeing the show in London, as the UK version is not available. Am not a huge fan of musicals in general but was so impressed with the stage show (a feminist deconstruction of the wizard of oz with kicking tunes-what's not to like?)I decided I wanted to play it in my car on the way to work. Arrived quickly tooand have since bought a copy for the friend I went to see it with too as a christmas gift.

Fantastic, we wanted a reminder having seen it in London - Amazon was cheaper than the Theatre.

The only down sound, it you call it that, is I would have preferred a UK version - this one is American, and it would have been lovely to have had it sung by the UK cast, but it does not spoil the music.

Cannot wait to see Wicked again
